Happy Platte Campground is located in the Pike National Forest in Park County, Colorado, positioned along the South Platte River drainage system near Lake George. At approximately 8,000 feet elevation, the campground offers a mountain forest setting characteristic of the central Colorado Rockies. The South Platte River area is known for its fishing opportunities, and the surrounding Pike National Forest provides scenic views and wildlife viewing. Directions

From Lake George, Colorado, on U.S. Highway 24, turn north onto County Road 77. Travel approximately 1 mile, then turn east onto County Road 112. The campground will be on your right after about 1 mile.
