Black Miners Bar Group Campground sits on the north shore of Lake Natoma, part of Folsom Lake State Recreation Area in the Sierra Nevada foothills about 25 miles east of Sacramento. The campground is designed exclusively for group camping with three sites: two accommodate up to 50 people each and one accommodates up to 25 people. As a developed campground, it provides flush toilets, piped drinking water, picnic tables, and BBQ stations. The location on Lake Natoma offers calm water ideal for kayaking, rowing, and other non-motorized water activities, as the lake enforces a 5-mph speed limit. The adjacent day-use area features a renovated beach, group picnic sites, and boat launch access. The park's 18,000 acres provide opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing for bass, trout, catfish, and perch, plus horseback riding. The area sits in the scenic Sierra foothills where summer temperatures regularly reach the 80s to 100s, making it popular from April through September. The park is easily accessible from Interstate 80 or Highway 50, with the campground entrance located off Greenback Lane near Folsom-Auburn Road.

Directions

From Interstate 80, take Douglas Blvd exit east, continue to Auburn-Folsom Road. From Highway 50, take Folsom Blvd exit north which becomes Folsom-Auburn Road. The campground is located off Greenback Lane near Folsom-Auburn Road on the north shore of Lake Natoma.
