About

Fairy Stone State Park Group Campground provides a secluded camping experience for organized groups in the heart of Virginia's Blue Ridge foothills. The campground consists of six tent-only sites, each equipped with a 16' x 16' sandy tent pad, picnic table, grill, and lantern holder. A central bathhouse serves all sites with hot showers and running water. The group area includes shared amenities such as extra tables, a large communal grill, and a campfire ring for evening gatherings. Groups must reserve a minimum of three sites to book the area. The campground sits near the park's cabin area and yurts, offering privacy while maintaining access to park facilities. Fairy Stone State Park is renowned for its legendary fairy stone crosses and features a 168-acre lake adjoining Philpott Reservoir. Visitors can enjoy lake swimming, boat rentals, hiking trails, horseback riding, and two playgrounds. The park sits just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, making it an excellent basecamp for regional exploration.
