Dutchman Campground is a small, remote campground nestled in the Mt. Pinos Ranger District of Los Padres National Forest, approximately six miles south of the Gold Hill area and two miles west of Alamo Loop Junction. The campground is accessed via Alamo Loop Road (FS 7N01), a dirt road that requires high clearance vehicles for safe passage. Shaded by Jeffrey Pines, the campground provides a peaceful, off-grid camping experience ideal for OHV enthusiasts, overlanders, and those seeking a rugged outdoor adventure. The campground offers basic amenities including vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire pits at each site. Campers must bring their own water as no drinking water is available on-site. Sites are available first-come, first-served for $5 per night, with Interagency Senior and Access Recreation Passes providing a 50% discount. Adventure Passes are honored for day use. The remote location and primitive facilities make this an excellent choice for experienced campers looking to explore the backcountry of Los Padres National Forest.
