Pine Springs Campground offers a quiet, primitive camping experience in the Mt. Pinos Ranger District of Los Padres National Forest. Located at 5,800 feet elevation, the campground features 12 sites arranged in a loop beneath shady pinyon pine trees. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring for campfires when permitted. This is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out style campground with no potable water available. A vault toilet provides the only facility. Campers should arrive fully self-sufficient with all water and supplies needed for their stay. The campground operates on a first-come-first-served basis with no reservations. An Adventure Pass, America the Beautiful Pass, or $5 overnight fee is required. Access is via Grade Valley Road (FS 7N03), approximately three miles south of the Lockwood Valley/Grade Valley Road junction. The campground is seasonally closed from November 1 through April 30 due to winter road conditions. Quiet hours are observed from 10 PM to 6 AM.
