* WHAT...West winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * WHERE...Portions of southwest, west central, and western Maine and central, northern, and southern New Hampshire. * WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Expect the power outage threat to continue through the rest of tonight into Tuesday morning in areas that have significant ice remaining on trees. Power outage threat will remain elevated in these areas as cold air and the gusty winds cause ice loaded branches to snap.

Deer Mountain Campground is a 25-site primitive campground located in Connecticut Lakes State Forest in the far northern reaches of New Hampshire, just five minutes south of the Canadian border and 13 miles from Lake Francis. Situated adjacent to the Connecticut River between Second and Third Connecticut Lakes, the campground lies along the stretch of Route 3 north of Pittsburg known as Moose Alley, making it a prime location for moose viewing and wildlife observation. The campground features 24 reservable sites plus one first-come, first-served site. Each site is equipped with a fireplace, picnic table, flat area for tent camping, and parking space. The primitive setting offers drinking water and vault toilets but no hookups or showers. With limited to no cell service depending on provider, the campground provides a remote wilderness experience ideal for anglers, hikers, and those seeking solitude in the north country. Deer Mountain Campground serves as an excellent base camp for exploring the Connecticut Lakes region and provides a great location for organized youth groups wanting to experience the north country. The remote location, combined with easy access to fishing, hiking, and exceptional wildlife viewing, makes this a destination for campers seeking a true backcountry experience in New Hampshire's Great North Woods.
Directions
From I-93: Exit 35 onto Route 3 North. Follow Route 3 to Pittsburg, then follow signs to Deer Mountain Campground. From I-95: Take Route 16 west to Route 26 west to Route 3 in Colebrook. On Route 3 follow signs to Deer Mountain Campground.
