Open for the 2026 season from May 22 through September 6. Reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance. Reservations made more than 7 days in advance require a two-night minimum stay; one-night stays are available within 7 days of arrival.

About
Maidstone State Park Campground occupies a forested peninsula on Maidstone Lake in Vermont's remote Northeast Kingdom. The 63-site campground spreads across two loops designated Camping Area A and Camping Area B, with prime waterfront sites and quieter interior locations. Site types include 20 tent-only sites, 13 tent/RV sites accommodating rigs up to 20-30 feet, and 29 lean-tos. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. The campground provides flush toilets with hot and cold running water, coin-operated showers, drinking water spigots throughout the park, and an RV dump station. A sandy beach provides swimming access, and registered campers can rent canoes, kayaks, and rowboats from the park office for use on Maidstone Lake. The lake holds trout, perch, bullhead, and panfish. Firewood and ice are available for purchase. Bears are active in this park, and campers must securely store food and trash in vehicles or bear canisters. Pets are allowed on leash in the campground but are not permitted in the day use area or on beaches.
Directions
From Bloomfield, go 5 miles south on VT Route 102, then 5 miles southwest on Maidstone Lake Road. The campground is located 1 mile past the day use area.
