About

Crosswinds Campground sits along the shores of 14,000-acre B. Everett Jordan Lake in North Carolina's Piedmont region. This popular state recreation area campground features 182 campsites designed to accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs, with 134 sites offering electric and water hookups. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, grill, and lantern holder. The campground provides campers with exclusive access to a dedicated boat ramp, making it easy to launch watercraft and explore Jordan Lake's extensive waters. A sandy swimming beach is also available for campers to enjoy. The facility includes bath houses throughout the campground, though they are not heated. Sites vary in terrain, with most being level, though some require navigating an incline to access. Crosswinds is part of Jordan Lake State Recreation Area, which encompasses the large reservoir and surrounding recreational lands. The campground gates provide 24-hour access for convenience. A privately owned marina operates nearby, offering additional boat services and rentals. The area is known for wildlife viewing opportunities, including bald eagles.
