About
Corney Lake Recreation Area encompasses a scenic 2,300-acre reservoir in the Caney Ranger District of Kisatchie National Forest in north-central Louisiana. The South Shore Campground offers primitive camping with modern fixtures including flush toilets, fire rings at each site, lantern posts, paved interior roads, and trash receptacles. The lake is a popular destination for bass and catfish fishing as well as waterfowl hunting in season. The recreation area includes both day-use and overnight camping facilities. The campground operates year-round on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees and no reservations.
