Canyon Creek Campground is situated within the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana's Lincoln County. The Kootenai National Forest encompasses over 2.2 million acres of diverse terrain, from the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness to the Yaak River country near the Canadian border. This remote region is characterized by dense forests, mountain streams, and abundant wildlife including bears, elk, and moose. The campground provides access to the surrounding national forest lands for hiking, fishing, and exploring the backcountry. Visitors should come prepared for rustic conditions and practice Leave No Trace principles in this pristine wilderness setting.

Directions

From Libby, head north on Highway 37 for approximately 13.5 miles, then turn left onto Forest Road 228. Travel 3.5 miles, then turn right onto Souse Gulch Road to reach the campground.
