Canjilon Lakes Campground is a scenic destination in the Carson National Forest, located about 65 miles northwest of Santa Fe near the town of Canjilon. The campground sits at 9,900 feet elevation among spruce-fir and aspen stands on the shores of six small ponds ranging from two to six acres in size. The area offers excellent fishing opportunities for rainbow trout across the multiple small lakes. Fall transforms the landscape with spectacular golden and orange aspen foliage. Vault toilets are provided but campers must bring their own drinking water as no potable water is available on site. Access road Forest Road 129 (Alkali Spring Rd.) is closed to motorized travel from January 1 through April 30.

From Canjilon, New Mexico, take Forest Road 129 (Alkali Spring Rd.) to the campground. Located approximately 65 miles northwest of Santa Fe.
