About

Badin Lake Group Camp provides a relaxing base for clubs, families, and other groups in the Uwharrie National Forest of central North Carolina. The campground features three separate group sites organized around a single loop, each capable of hosting up to 50 people. Sites are equipped with picnic tables, grills, and tent pads, set within a dense forest of pines and hardwoods. The facility offers flush toilets, vault toilets, a bathhouse with showers, and drinking water hydrants at each campsite. Two dumpsters provide trash service. No electrical hookups or dump station are available, making this a tent-oriented group camping destination. The surrounding Badin Lake Recreation Area is a hub for outdoor activities. The 5,000-acre lake offers swimming, boating, and fishing for bass, bream, crappie, and catfish. King's Mountain Point, one mile away, has accessible fishing piers and a swimming area. Back on land, approximately 40 miles of non-motorized trails are available for horseback riding, mountain biking, and hiking, while 17 miles of motorized trails accommodate OHV riding from April 1 through December 15.
