About
Andrew's Cove Campground is a small, forested retreat in the Chattahoochee National Forest offering 10 campsites along Andrews Creek. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and lantern post. Site 9 is a double site accommodating up to 16 people and 4 vehicles, while standard sites allow 8 people and 2 vehicles maximum. A toilet facility is located adjacent to site 3.
The campground serves as a basecamp for hikers, with the 1.9-mile Andrews Cove Trail starting between sites 6 and 7. This moderately challenging trail follows a mountain stream and connects to the Appalachian Trail, making it ideal for day hikes or longer backpacking trips. Fishing is available in the creek with a valid Georgia license.
The alpine-themed town of Helen is approximately 6 miles south on Highway 75, offering restaurants, shopping, tubing, rafting, and zip-lining on the Chattahoochee River. Nearby attractions include Anna Ruby Falls, Dukes Creek Falls, and three wilderness areas for those seeking additional solitude.
