About

Alta Lake State Park is a camping destination where mountainous pine forests transition into high desert landscape, positioned along a scenic 2-mile lake two miles southwest of Pateros in Okanogan County. The park offers 115 campsites arranged near the lakeshore, including 32 sites with full utility hookups (electric, water, and sewer) and two group camping areas for larger gatherings. Maximum site length is 38 feet. The campground provides modern amenities including flush restrooms, hot-water showers, potable water, trash collection, and an RV dump station. Each campsite comes equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Free Wi-Fi is available in limited coverage areas. Concessions on the Lake offers snacks, beverages, grilled food, ice cream, camping supplies, and firewood. The lake supports trout fishing, swimming, waterskiing, and windsurfing during summer months.
