About
Aliso Park Campground sits at 2,900 feet elevation in the Los Padres National Forest, offering seven oak-shaded campsites arranged around a central loop. The campground is particularly popular during fall hunting season and serves as a trailhead for both the McPherson Peak Trail and Aliso Trail. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring, with adequate spacing between sites to provide privacy. The campground can accommodate RVs up to 28 feet, though most visitors are tent campers. One vault toilet is available on-site, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring all necessary water for drinking and cooking. Horse camping is permitted, with corrals located 0.2 miles from the main camping area. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet. Access is via Aliso Canyon Road (Forest Service Road 10N04), approximately seven miles south of State Highway 166. An Adventure Pass is required for overnight camping, available as either a daily ($5) or annual ($30) pass. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a 14-day stay limit and enforces quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
