About

Aliso Park Campground is a small, primitive campground tucked into an oak grove at 2,900 feet elevation within the Mt. Pinos Ranger District of Los Padres National Forest. The seven campsites are arranged around a central loop, with each site offering a picnic table and fire ring. A single vault toilet serves the campground, but no potable water is available, so campers must bring their own supply. The campground is especially popular during fall hunting season due to its remote location in the backcountry. It also functions as a trailhead for the McPhearson Peak Trail and Aliso Trail, making it a good base for hikers. Horse and pack animals are permitted, with corrals located approximately two-tenths of a mile from the campground. RVs up to 28 feet can navigate into campsites, though the road and loop are best suited for smaller vehicles. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a 14-day stay limit. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
