About

Nottingham Campground is tucked away along Highway 35 in the upper Hood River Valley, with the East Fork Hood River running alongside. Most campsites offer direct access to the river, and the sound of flowing water creates a peaceful retreat despite the nearby highway. The natural landscapes carved by the river make this one of the most unique campgrounds in Mt. Hood National Forest. The campground features 21 sites split between RV-compatible sites (up to 32 feet) and tent-only sites. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own. A camp host is present during peak season. The location provides excellent access to recreation. The Tamanawas Falls trailhead sits adjacent to the campground, offering an accessible hike to a stunning waterfall. The upper Hood River Valley also offers hiking, biking, and fishing opportunities throughout the area.

From Portland, take I-84 to Hood River. Take exit 64 to Highway 35. Follow Highway 35 south for approximately 20 miles to the campground.
