Open for the season, operating late April/early May through the first week of November. Closed during winter months. Fire danger level is currently moderate; campfires are permitted with a valid California Campfire Permit. Reservations available through Recreation.gov, with some sites first-come, first-served.

Levels of ozone pollution can vary by time and location depending on emissions and air pollution transport. * WHEN...until 8 PM Monday. The highest ozone levels typically occur in the afternoon and early-evening hours. * IMPACTS... Ozone air pollution can cause serious health problems, including trouble breathing, asthma attacks, and lung damage. Everyone can be affected, but sensitive groups such as people with lung disease, older adults, people who are pregnant, children, and those who spend a lot of time outdoors are at greater risk.

Table Mountain Campground provides a scenic retreat in the San Gabriel Mountains, just a few miles west of the mountain town of Wrightwood. At 7,000 feet elevation, summer temperatures average in the low 80s with cool nights, making it an ideal escape from Southern California's summer heat. The campground sits within oak and pine forest with two large meadows offering beautiful mountain views. The campground accommodates both tent campers and RVs, with paved spurs and sites that can handle vehicles up to 49 feet. Sites range from open meadow locations to shaded hillside spots, with vault toilets and water spigots spaced throughout. Fire pits are provided at each site, though fire restrictions may apply during high fire danger periods. The Table Mountain Nature Trail, a half-mile interpretive loop, begins at the campground entrance and offers opportunities to spot wildlife including deer, squirrels, and occasionally California condors. The Angeles Crest Scenic Byway (Highway 2) provides access to additional hiking, including the Pacific Crest Trail and Blue Ridge Trail. The ski resort town of Wrightwood offers restaurants and supplies nearby.
Directions
From Wrightwood, proceed west on CA-2 for 3.6 miles to Table Mountain Road and turn right. Continue on Table Mountain Road for 0.7 miles; the campground will be on the left.
