About
Pike Community Group Campground is located in Pike National Forest approximately 6 miles north of Woodland Park in central Colorado. Set in a ponderosa pine forest at an elevation of 7,700 feet, this group-only facility is designed to accommodate up to 100 people and 48 vehicles, making it ideal for large gatherings, family reunions, and group outings. The campground features extensive on-site recreational facilities including a baseball field, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits, a children's play area, and a campfire circle. Campers must bring their own sports equipment. The site includes picnic tables, group fire grates, drinking water, trash dumpsters, and vault toilets. The nearby paved Centennial Trail runs across Highway 67 and connects to Manitou Lake Picnic Area as well as Colorado and South Meadows Campgrounds, providing accessible options for hikers, bicyclists, and roller bladers. Manitou Lake offers trout fishing and canoeing opportunities on its 5-acre surface. Woodland Park is approximately 6 miles south and provides gas, groceries, dining, and shopping. Colorado Springs lies about 25 miles southeast, offering extensive services and attractions including Garden of the Gods. Pikes Peak, accessible via hiking or driving, is approximately 20 miles from the campground near Manitou Springs. Off-road vehicle enthusiasts can access the Rainbow Falls OHV Trail System and North Divide OHV Trail System from the area.
Directions
From Colorado Springs, travel west on Highway 24 for approximately 18 miles to Woodland Park. From Woodland Park, travel 5 miles north on Highway 67. Pike Community Group Campground is on the right side of the road just past the entrance to South Meadows Campground.
