Winds become northwest at 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt Wednesday night. * WHERE...The coastal waters from Ocracoke Inlet to Surf City. * WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 AM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Moderate southwesterly winds persist this morning ahead of an advancing cold front. The winds will then become northerly late Wednesday, with moderate northerly winds then continuing into Wednesday night.

The winds will then weaken briefly during the day on Wednesday before becoming northerly late Wednesday and increasing once again. Moderate northerly winds then continue through Wednesday night.
