Pea Ridge National Military Park Closed February 20, 2025

The park is closed, due to winter weather. Areas will re-open as soon as conditions allow. Updates will be posted here and on the park's social media platforms.

Partial hiking trail closure

Williams Hollow hiking trail loop is closed due to hazards caused by recent adverse weather. This is the hiking trail that starts at the Elkhorn Tavern and heads north up the old Telegraph Road and around Broad Ridge over to the Clemens house site.

Prescribed Fire

Prescribed fire operations may occur at the park December 9 through 19, 2024, to burn brush piles. Park roads, trails, and grounds are expected to remain open. If closures become necessary, they will be announced here and on the park's social media page.

Conservation Celebration on Saturday, August 5, 2023

Pea Ridge National Military Park Conservation Celebration will still be taking place today, August 5, 2023, but has been moved into the visitor center due to rain. Some of the outdoor activities for the day will be delayed due to weather conditions.

Tour Road Closed

Due to current and predicted winter weather, the park tour road is closed. It will reopen when conditions allow. Winter visitor center hours remain in effect (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

North Horse Trail Hoop Closure In Effect

Pea Ridge National Military Park north Horse Trail hoop is closed 6/17/24 -6/18/24 due to clean up of hazards caused by recent adverse weather. The trail will reopen when hazards have been cleared.

Pea Ridge National Military Park Open 2/21/2025

Update Friday, 2/21 - the park is open. Please exercise caution when visiting, as most trails are still covered with snow.
