From Recreation.gov

To improve the camping experience for our guests at all Beaver Lake campgrounds, the Check-Out time for campsite reservations will be adjusted from 3:00pm to 1:00pm on the day that reservation ends. This change will apply to all reservations beginning on or after April 1st, 2026, regardless of when the reservation was originally booked. Check-In time will remain 4:00pm on the day incoming reservations start. The additional time before incoming reservation holders may check in will allow Park Attendants, Cleaners, and Park Ranger staff to ensure that outgoing guests have not only vacated their sites, but that the facilities are fully operational, clean, and prepared to welcome incoming guests. As always, should you wish to make, modify, or cancel a reservation, you may do so from your [Recreation.gov][1] account or by calling 1-877-444-6777. We look forward to seeing you at Beaver Lake this recreation season! [1]: http://Recreation.gov

About

Prairie Creek Campground sits on the expansive shores of Beaver Lake, a 28,000-acre Army Corps reservoir in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas. The campground features spacious, well-shaded sites with electric (30/50 amp) and water hookups, making it suitable for RVs and tent campers alike. Amenities include flush restrooms, drinking water, a dump station, showers, a five-lane boat ramp, sand volleyball court, and playground. Beaver Lake is renowned for its fishing, with populations of largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, white bass, striped bass, and channel catfish. Below Beaver Dam, the cold tailwaters of the upper White River support excellent trout fishing. The surrounding Ozark terrain offers hiking and biking trails through hardwood and evergreen forests, along with opportunities for wildlife viewing, hunting, and spelunking. The campground operates via Recreation.gov reservations. Sites accommodate one RV and one tent or up to three tents. Most sites are back-in style with driveway lengths around 32-34 feet, suitable for RVs and trailers up to approximately 30 feet. Pets are welcome but must remain on a 6-foot leash at all times.
