About
White Pine Lake Rustic Campground offers a peaceful camping experience on a beautiful medium-sized lake in the Superior National Forest. This easily accessible rustic campground features just three campsites, providing an intimate setting for those seeking a quieter outdoor experience. The campground includes a boat launch for easy lake access and an accessible fishing pier, making it ideal for anglers and boaters alike. The area is distinguished by its wonderful white pine trees that give the lake and campground their name. As a rustic campground, facilities are basic but functional. A vault toilet is available, but there is no potable water on-site. Campers must treat, boil, or filter water from the lake before use. Two of the three sites are longer than 21 feet and may accommodate RVs, though sites are pull-in and not specifically designed for larger vehicles. Each site can accommodate up to nine people, one vehicle, and one towed vehicle such as a boat trailer. There is no garbage pick-up service at White Pine Lake Rustic Campground, so campers must pack out all trash, including fish remains. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash of six feet or shorter. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system and no camping fees.
