Victoria Springs State Recreation Area is a scenic 81-site campground located in central Nebraska's Custer County. The facility offers a variety of camping options including 21 electric campsites with 20-, 30-, and 50-amp hookups, and 60 basic non-electric sites. The spacious campsites are well-maintained and suitable for RVs and tent camping. The recreation area centers around a spring-fed lake that provides fishing opportunities and paddleboat rentals. Hiking trails wind through the property, allowing visitors to explore the natural landscape. Modern amenities include seasonal showerhouses and two rental cabins equipped with kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms. Additional facilities include a group shelter, playground, and picnic areas with tables and grills. While the campground remains open year-round for camping, some facilities operate seasonally. The showerhouse typically opens in May and closes in late September or early October, and the cabins are available from Memorial Day through the third weekend in November. During peak season (May 1 through September 30), reservations are recommended, while off-season camping operates first-come, first-served.
