The campground is currently open and accepting reservations year-round. Gates are staffed seven days a week from May through October. Cabins are available March through November, closed December through February.

East Fork White River near Rivervale, Seymour, Bedford, Williams. .Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall over the last few days has brought minor to moderate flooding to the East Fork White. The crest on the East Fork is slightly past Seymour. Flooding along the lower East Fork is expected to last through most of next week. More rounds of rainfall the next few days, mainly Friday and Friday night, could make the flooding last longer and bring higher crests for downriver points. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...East Fork White River at Seymour. * WHEN...Until Wednesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 17.5 feet, Extensive agricultural flooding in progress. CR 850 S and SR 11 begin to flood in southern Bartholomew County. During August 2009, SR 11 closed between Southern Crossing and Bartholomew CR 550 S. Starve Hollow State Recreation Area encompasses approximately 280 acres within the 18,000-acre Jackson-Washington State Forest, providing exceptional camping opportunities in southern Indiana. The campground offers 145 total sites including 55 full hookup sites with electric, water, and sewer, 90 electric-only sites, and 10 primitive sites, with multiple campsites situated directly on the lakeshore. Modern restrooms with showers are wheelchair accessible, and several ADA-accessible sites are available throughout the campground. The 145-acre Starve Hollow Lake is restricted to trolling motors only, creating a peaceful setting for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and rowboating. Boat rentals are available mid-April through October, and three boat ramps provide lake access. A large sandy beach operates from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, complete with restrooms, changing facilities, showers, and concessions. The property features approximately 11 miles of hiking trails east of the lake, ranging from easy lowland paths to rugged ridge-top terrain, with various loop options and color-coded blazes for navigation. Additional amenities include 13 rent-a-camp cabins available March through November, an education center operating Friday through Sunday from May through October with nature programs and special events, reservable picnic shelters, playgrounds, basketball courts, softball fields, horseshoe pits, and volleyball courts. The property office is open weekdays 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with gate attendants available seven days a week from May through October.
