The campground is open for the 2026 season. Holland Loop operates from early April through late October. The swim beach is closed for Memorial Day weekend 2026 due to weather conditions, but the campground remains operational.

About
Holland Loop is one of six campground loops within Hardin Ridge Recreation Area, a 1,200-acre recreational complex on the shores of Monroe Reservoir in Hoosier National Forest. The loop contains 13 campsites, all equipped with electric hookups at either 30 or 60 amps, with some sites also offering water connections. Sites accommodate tents, RVs, and trailers up to 50 feet depending on the specific site, with back-in gravel driveways ranging from 45 to 70 feet in length. The campground provides centralized flush toilets and hot showers, along with potable water spigots distributed throughout the loops. An RV dump station is located near the gatehouse. Campfires are permitted at sites. Generators are prohibited in Holland Loop, making it quieter than some other areas of Hardin Ridge. Hardin Ridge offers extensive recreation including a swim beach, three-lane boat launch, hiking trails, picnic shelters, and two rental cabins. The recreation area hosts seasonal events including Fourth of July celebrations and Halloween festivities. Check-in is at 2:00 PM and checkout is at noon.

From IN-446 south of Bloomington, turn onto Chapel Hill Road and the entrance will be on the right. Alternatively, from IN-37 south of Bloomington, turn east on Guthrie Road, then right on Chapel Hill Road.
