About
Rocky Fork State Park Campground is located on the northwest corner of Rocky Fork Lake, a 2,080-acre reservoir with 31 miles of shoreline in Highland County, Ohio. The campground offers 190 sites divided between upper and lower camping areas, with the lower area providing more open terrain and lake views while the upper area features more wooded sites. The facility includes 130 electric hookup sites and 20 full-service hookup sites, with the remaining sites offering non-electric options suitable for tents and trailers. The campground is well-equipped with modern amenities including showers, flush toilets, laundry facilities, a dump station, and a camp store. Campers have access to a dedicated beach area, and many sites offer pull-through configurations for easier RV access. Pets are permitted at all campsites. The surrounding park features unlimited horsepower boating with a marina, multiple boat ramps, fishing piers, and public beaches for swimming. The park's landscape includes wetlands, mixed hardwood forests, and scenic Rocky Fork Gorge. While the historic Seven Caves attraction is no longer open, hiking trails throughout the park allow visitors to explore the area's natural beauty. The campground's location in southern Ohio provides rolling terrain with a mix of open and wooded areas, though some lower-lying sites may experience wet conditions due to proximity to the lake.
