Roaring River State Park Shelters

Open — Open year-round for day use and shelter reservations. Shelters rent for $60 per day and can be reserved 30 days to 12 months in advance online, or less than 30 days in advance by calling the park.

About

Located in the rugged southwest Ozark hills of Missouri, Roaring River State Park offers two covered picnic shelters ideal for family gatherings and group outings. River Shelter is wheelchair accessible and can accommodate up to 75 guests, while the historic CCC Shelter can host up to 50 guests. Both shelters include outdoor grills, picnic tables, electrical outlets, and nearby restroom facilities with water available within walking distance. The shelters can be reserved up to 12 months in advance online or by contacting the park. If not reserved, they are available on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge. The shelters are conveniently located near playground equipment and the park's main day-use area. Roaring River State Park is one of Missouri's most popular state parks, known for its exceptional rainbow trout fishing, seven scenic hiking trails, and year-round outdoor recreation opportunities. The deep, narrow valley surrounded by striking limestone bluffs and the spring-fed Roaring River create a dramatic natural setting for day visitors and shelter users.
