From Recreation.gov
To improve the camping experience for our guests at all Beaver Lake campgrounds, the Check-Out time for campsite reservations will be adjusted from 3:00pm to 1:00pm on the day that reservation ends. This change will apply to all reservations beginning on or after April 1st, 2026, regardless of when the reservation was originally booked. Check-In time will remain 4:00pm on the day incoming reservations start. The additional time before incoming reservation holders may check in will allow Park Attendants, Cleaners, and Park Ranger staff to ensure that outgoing guests have not only vacated their sites, but that the facilities are fully operational, clean, and prepared to welcome incoming guests. As always, should you wish to make, modify, or cancel a reservation, you may do so from your [Recreation.gov][1] account or by calling 1-877-444-6777. We look forward to seeing you at Beaver Lake this recreation season! [1]: http://Recreation.gov
About
Dam Site River Campground occupies a scenic stretch of the White River directly below Beaver Dam in Carroll County, Arkansas. Towering limestone bluffs, natural caves, and a mix of hardwood and evergreen forest surround the campground, providing ample shade and a quintessential Ozark setting. The 59 campsites are spread across three loops and all feature 30-amp electric hookups, with each site accommodating one RV and one tent, or up to three tents. The cold, clear tailwaters below the dam create prime habitat for rainbow and German brown trout, making this one of the top fishing destinations in the region. Beaver Lake itself offers over 28,000 surface acres for bass, crappie, and catfish. Beyond fishing, visitors can explore numerous trails for hiking and biking, or enjoy swimming, boating, and wildlife viewing throughout the Ozark Mountains.
Directions
From Eureka Springs, Arkansas, take Highway 62 West for just over 4 miles. Turn left on Highway 187 and continue for about 6 miles. Take the first right after crossing the dam and follow signs to the campground.
