Roaring River State Park Campground 3
Open seasonally from February 25 through October 31. Reservations available up to 12 months in advance through Missouri State Parks reservation system or by calling 877-422-6766. Camping limited to 15 days within any 30-consecutive-day period.
About
Campground 3 at Roaring River State Park sits in the Ozark hills of southwest Missouri, offering easy access to the park's renowned rainbow trout fishing and spring-fed waters. The campground underwent significant improvements completed in February 2025, converting many sites to full sewer/electric/water hookups while retaining basic and electric-only options. Facilities include modern accessible showerhouses, restrooms, laundry, and a dump station. Each campsite comes standard with a parking pad, picnic table, grill, and lantern post. The park's nature center is nearby, and seven hiking trails wind through the surrounding hills. A park store provides basic supplies and fishing gear. Note that park staff use pyrotechnic devices between 8-10 a.m. daily near Campground 3 to deter black vultures. Pets are permitted with a maximum of two dogs per site on leashes no longer than 10 feet.
