From Recreation.gov

To improve the camping experience for our guests at all Beaver Lake campgrounds, the Check-Out time for campsite reservations will be adjusted from 3:00pm to 1:00pm on the day that reservation ends. This change will apply to all reservations beginning on or after April 1st, 2026, regardless of when the reservation was originally booked. Check-In time will remain 4:00pm on the day incoming reservations start. The additional time before incoming reservation holders may check in will allow Park Attendants, Cleaners, and Park Ranger staff to ensure that outgoing guests have not only vacated their sites, but that the facilities are fully operational, clean, and prepared to welcome incoming guests. As always, should you wish to make, modify, or cancel a reservation, you may do so from your [Recreation.gov][1] account or by calling 1-877-444-6777. We look forward to seeing you at Beaver Lake this recreation season! [1]: http://Recreation.gov

About

Dam Site Lake Campground sits on a unique peninsula along the shores of Beaver Lake in the Ozark Mountains near Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the campground features an unusual layout where campers drive directly onto a small island connected to the mainland, resulting in most sites having direct waterfront access. The area is surrounded by towering limestone bluffs, natural caves, and mixed hardwood and evergreen forest. Beaver Lake offers over 28,000 surface acres of water with 449 miles of shoreline. Fishing is a primary draw, with excellent opportunities for largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, bream, white bass, stripers, and channel or spoon-bill catfish. Just below the dam, the cold waters of the upper White River create prime habitat for rainbow trout and record-sized German brown trout. Beyond fishing, the area provides hiking and biking trails through the Ozark Mountains, wildlife viewing, boating, swimming, water skiing, scuba diving, and spelunking. Several marinas around the lake offer groceries, fuel, boat rentals, storage, and fishing guides.

Directions

From Eureka Springs, take Highway 62 West for nearly 4 miles. Turn left on Highway 187 and continue about 6 miles. Turn left at the park entrance and continue to the campground, located before the dam. From Rogers, take Highway 62 East for nearly 24 miles, turn right on Highway 187 and travel 3 miles crossing the dam. The park entrance is the first right after the dam.
