Lake Perris Group Campground

Open — The campground is open year-round. Park hours are 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, and 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. the rest of the year. Reservations required and must be made at least 7 days in advance through ReserveCalifornia.

Lake Perris Group Campground is part of Lake Perris State Recreation Area, an 8,800-acre park located in the heart of Southern California near Perris. The group campground features six designated group sites that can each accommodate up to 100 people and 20 vehicles. Each site is equipped with shade ramadas, multiple picnic tables, and a full kitchen area with counters, a sink, and a barbeque grill. There are no hookups or electricity provided in the group camping area. Modern restroom facilities with flush toilets are accessible throughout the campground. The recreation area surrounds a 2,000-acre reservoir offering diverse recreational opportunities including swimming at designated beaches, boating with a full-service marina, fishing for rainbow trout, catfish, and Alabama spotted bass, and water skiing. Land activities include hiking and biking on scenic trails, horseback riding, and rock climbing south of the dam. The Ya'i Heki' Regional Indian Museum is located within the park. The campground provides drinking water, trash service, and access to a camp store and marina with rentals and supplies. Group campers must check in at the Luiseno Campground office before setting up.

Directions

Located 11 miles south of Riverside. From I-215, take Ramona Expressway exit and head east, or from the north take Moreno Beach Drive exit and head south. Park entrance is off Ramona Expressway at 17801 Lake Perris Drive, Perris, CA 92571.
