Lake Perris Group Campground

Lake Perris Group Campground is part of Lake Perris State Recreation Area, located 11 miles south of Riverside in Southern California's Inland Empire. The park surrounds one of the region's largest freshwater recreational lakes, offering swimming beaches, fishing, boating, and miles of hiking and biking trails. The Ya'i Heki' Regional Indian Museum showcases the area's Native American heritage. The group camping area consists of six designated tent campsites (GC1-GC6), each capable of hosting up to 100 people with 20 vehicles. Each site features a shade ramada, picnic tables, and a kitchen area equipped with counters, sink, and barbecue grills. Restrooms serve the group camping area. There are no electrical hookups in the group camp. Campfires are permitted only in fire rings and grills; open ground fires are prohibited. No oak firewood is allowed due to the goldspotted oak borer threat, but other species are available for purchase. Reservations must be made through ReserveCalifornia at least 7 days in advance, or up to 6 months ahead. Walk-in same-day bookings may be available at the campground office. Check-in is at 2:00 PM and check-out is at noon. Dogs are permitted on leash but are not allowed on beaches, in the water, or on Alessandro Island. Summer temperatures can be extreme; shade canopies are recommended.

From Riverside, head south on Highway 60 or I-215 for approximately 11 miles. From I-215, exit at Moreno Beach Drive or Ramona Expressway and follow signs to Lake Perris Drive. The park address is 17801 Lake Perris Drive, Perris, CA 92571.
