For the Beach Hazards Statement, increased risk of sneaker waves and strong rip currents expected. * WHERE...Pacific Coast Beaches. * WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 5 AM PDT Wednesday. For the Beach Hazards Statement, until 5 AM PDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...High tide flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion can be expected. Sneaker waves can sweep across the shoreline without warning, pulling people into the sea from rocks, jetties and beaches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...At the San Francisco tidal gauge, high tide is expected to be 1.7 ft above normal (7.5 ft MLLW) at 12:56 AM on Wednesday. High tide varies up to 90 minutes earlier or later along the Pacific Coast and through the San Francisco Bay, respectively.

Sweetwood Group Camp offers an intimate group camping experience within Half Moon Bay State Beach, situated in a picturesque cypress grove between Venice and Dunes beaches. The campground accommodates up to 50 people and 12 vehicles, making it ideal for scout troops, family reunions, or group outings. The site features a large open field with a central picnic area and a single fire ring for gathering. This is a tent-only campground with no RVs or trailers permitted. Facilities include pit toilets, though campers should bring their own water as none is available on-site. One section of the group camp has been made ADA-accessible, including tables, a food preparation area, fire ring, and accessible pathways to the vault-style restroom. The campground sits just a short walk from the Coastside Trail and provides easy access to the beautiful beaches of Half Moon Bay. Dogs are permitted in the campground but must remain on a leash no longer than six feet and cannot be left unattended outdoors. Dogs are prohibited on the beach.
