Clifty Falls State Park campground sits on the edge of a deep canyon carved by Clifty Creek, offering campers access to some of Indiana's most dramatic natural scenery. The 106 electric sites provide 20/30/50 amp service, while 63 non-electric sites offer a more primitive experience. All campsites feature gravel parking spurs, picnic tables, and fire rings. Modern restroom facilities with hot showers are ADA accessible and located in both camping loops, with additional pit toilets in the non-electric area. The campground operates with full services from late April through early November, with limited winter camping available featuring reduced amenities. A seasonal camp store near the gatehouse sells firewood, ice, and camping supplies, and coin-operated laundry facilities are on site. A dump station is conveniently located near the campground entrance. Recreation options include a children's playground, amphitheater for interpretive programs, and a swimming pool with seasonal lifeguards. The park's trail system is the main attraction, featuring 10+ miles of rugged paths leading to multiple waterfalls including the namesake Clifty Falls. The canyon terrain features exposed rock faces, fossils, and dramatic elevation changes. The historic Brough's Tunnel and unique geological formations add to the park's appeal for hikers and nature enthusiasts.

Directions

From I-65, take exit 76A for US-421 South toward Madison. Continue approximately 30 miles south through Versailles to Madison. In Madison, turn west onto State Road 56/62 and follow signs to Clifty Falls State Park. The park entrance is located at 2221 Clifty Drive, Madison, IN 47250.
