Piedmont Park Campground is a spacious recreation destination located on the shores of Clearwater Lake, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers wilderness lake in the Ozark foothills of Reynolds County, Missouri. The campground offers 97 sites across multiple loops, with the majority featuring electric and water hookups. Sites accommodate up to two camping units or two tents with a maximum of 10 people per site. Clearwater Lake is considered a wilderness lake because it lacks private boat docks, offering visitors plenty of pristine shorelines to explore. Water sport enthusiasts enjoy boating, jet skiing, canoeing, and swimming at the designated beach area. The lake is also popular for fishing, with abundant opportunities to catch various species. Additional campground amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, a dump station, boat ramp, playgrounds, and reservable picnic shelters. The natural setting is enhanced each spring by flowering dogwoods, redbuds, hawthorns, and wild plums. Visitors can relax under shade trees like sycamores and maples while taking in views of the rugged Ozark terrain. The shoreline features high picturesque bluffs, indented bays, and quiet coves. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound with waterfowl, white-tailed deer, fox, and geese commonly spotted. Nearby attractions include Sam A. Baker State Park, local golf courses, and the historic Civil War site at Fort Benton.

Directions

From Piedmont, MO, follow Missouri State Highway HH. Travel on Highway HH for 6 miles to the top of the dam. Turn right and follow signs into campground.
