Bluff View Campground sits on the shores of Clearwater Lake, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir surrounded by the scenic Ozark hills and fed by the Black River. The campground offers 60 campsites distributed across loops A, B, C, and D, with most sites providing electric hookups and many offering water hookups as well. Amenities include hot showers, flush toilets, a dump station, boat ramp, swimming beach, playground, and public phones. A trailhead for the Bluff View Nature Trail begins at the campground, providing a wonderful loop through towering hardwood forests ideal for wildlife viewing. The area is known for its resident bald eagles, which nest at Clearwater and remain year-round, as well as deer, turkey, fox, and waterfowl. Fishing and boating opportunities abound on the clear waters of the lake. The campground operates on a reservation system during peak season (mid-May through mid-September) via Recreation.gov, with first-come, first-served availability outside peak season. Off-season camping is available for free in loops C and D, though utilities and shower facilities are not operational during this time.

Directions

Located 7 miles northwest of Piedmont, Missouri. From Piedmont on Highway 49, go 1 mile to Highway AA and turn left. Drive 6 miles on Highway AA; the road will end at Bluff View Park.
