About

Pete's Lake Campground is located in the heart of Hiawatha National Forest on Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The campground occupies a scenic setting on the shores of the 190-acre Pete's Lake, surrounded by rolling hills forested with deciduous and conifer trees. Most campsites are shaded and offer privacy among the mixed hardwood forest. The campground features a swimming beach, accessible fishing pier, and two picnic areas in the day-use section. Pete's Lake supports healthy populations of northern pike, bass, walleye, and perch. The nine-mile Bruno's Run Trail winds through the campground and past several small lakes in the area, popular for hiking, biking, and winter activities like snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Sites are nonelectric with gravel driveways, accommodating tents, trailers, and RVs up to 60 feet depending on the site. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, with about half having a grill. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided.
