About

Ouzel Campground sits at 6,200 feet elevation along the scenic South Platte River corridor in Pike National Forest, about 7 miles north of Deckers. This tent-only campground offers 13 sites in a compact, riverside setting popular with anglers targeting the river's trout populations. The campground operates year-round, with full services available from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. During the extended season (fall, winter, and spring), services such as trash collection and restrooms may be limited or unavailable. Each site accommodates up to 8 people with a maximum of 2 tents and 2 vehicles. Every site has a fire ring and picnic table. This is a primitive campground with no potable water, hookups, or showers. Portable toilets are provided during peak season only. Dogs are permitted but must remain leashed at all times. No firearms or fireworks are allowed, and fires are only permitted in the provided fire rings.
