Outdoor burning is not recommended. * THUNDERSTORMS...Isolated to scattered dry thunderstorms after 11 AM Wednesday. * OUTFLOW WINDS...Gusts from 25-35 mph

About
Ogden Group Campground sits along Paulina Creek in the high desert region of central Oregon within Deschutes National Forest. This reservation-only group facility features two sites designed for large gatherings: Site A accommodates up to 100 people with parking for 50 vehicles, while Site B holds 100 people with 30-vehicle capacity. Both sites can be reserved together for groups exceeding 200 people. The campground serves as a base for exploring Newberry National Volcanic Monument, where visitors encounter cinder cones, basalt flows, and rhyolite obsidian formations. Paulina Peak rises to 7,985 feet, offering views across the Oregon Cascades and High Desert. The Peter Skene Ogden National Scenic Trail begins at the campground and climbs 8.5 miles along Paulina Creek to Paulina Lake, passing multiple waterfalls. Surrounding waters provide fishing for trout and salmon. Summer activities include boating and swimming in area lakes, while winter brings skiing and snowmobiling when the campground is closed.
