About

Oak Hollow Campground is located deep within Calaveras Big Trees State Park, approximately 4 miles along the main park road. The campground occupies a scenic setting in a mature pine and oak forest, providing plenty of natural shade during the warm summer months. Sites 75-129 make up this 55-site campground, with each site equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and bear-proof food locker. The campground offers modern amenities including restrooms and token-operated showers. Potable water is available throughout. While RVs up to 30 feet are welcome, this is a dry camping facility with no hookups. An RV dump station is available elsewhere in the park. Dogs are permitted in the campground but must be kept on leash and are not allowed on trails or in the giant sequoia groves. Calaveras Big Trees State Park is renowned for its groves of giant sequoias, including the famous North Grove where visitors can walk among some of the largest and oldest trees on Earth. The park also offers extensive hiking trails, fishing along the Stanislaus River, and cross-country skiing in winter months.
