About

Situated in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest along the South Fork Skykomish River, Money Creek Campground offers some of the most stunning scenery in the northern Cascade Range. The 24 sites are scattered beneath a towering canopy of old-growth forest, widely spaced for privacy. Several sites sit directly at the river's edge, where a swimming hole provides summer relief. Sites 9-14 are positioned near the railroad tracks, drawing visitors who enjoy watching trains pass through this historic corridor. The campground provides an ideal base for exploring the area's 1,500 miles of trails. The nearby Barclay Creek Trail follows the creek through diverse forest with old growth trees, deer ferns, trillium, and seasonal wildflowers, crossing cedar boardwalks and a log bridge before reaching Barclay Lake at 2,422 feet. From the lake, the north wall of Baring Mountain rises 3,700 feet directly above the water. In winter, the area offers skiing and snowshoeing opportunities, with Stevens Pass Ski Area a short drive away. Facilities include vault toilets, potable water from a hand pump, picnic tables at each site, and garbage service. All 24 sites accommodate both tent and RV camping with gravel back-in driveways. The campground is operated by the Skykomish Ranger District.
