About
Marian Campground sits at 6,590 feet elevation along a scenic ridgeline on Brush Mountain in the Mt. Pinos Ranger District of Los Padres National Forest. This small, remote campground is shaded by Jeffrey pines and offers expansive views of the surrounding mountains. The camp operates as a first-come, first-served walk-in facility with no reservations available. The campground is popular with hunters during fall season and serves as a trailhead for the McPhearson Peak Trail. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with ADA-approved fire rings available. The facility has vault toilets but no potable water, so campers must bring their own water supply. Access to Marian Campground requires a high-clearance vehicle due to the steep, narrow dirt road conditions. Located approximately three miles west of Pine Mountain Club off Mil Potrero Highway, the campground is reached via Forest Service Road 9N27. The remote location and challenging access make this an excellent destination for those seeking a more primitive camping experience away from crowds.
Directions
Located approximately three miles west of Pine Mountain Club off Mil Potrero Highway. Take Forest Service Road 9N27 north for 1.5 miles. High-clearance vehicle recommended due to steep, narrow dirt road conditions.
