* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Louisiana, including the following parishes, Allen, Avoyelles, Beauregard, East Cameron, Evangeline, Lafayette, Lower Iberia, Lower St. Martin, Lower St. Mary, Lower Vermilion, Northern Acadia, Northern Calcasieu, Northern Jefferson Davis, Rapides, Southern Acadia, Southern Calcasieu, Southern Jefferson Davis, St. Landry, Upper Iberia, Upper St. Martin, Upper St. Mary, Upper Vermilion, Vernon and West Cameron and southeast Texas, including the following areas, Hardin, Lower Jefferson, Northern Jasper, Northern Newton, Northern Orange, Southern Jasper, Southern Newton, Southern Orange, Tyler and Upper Jefferson. * WHEN...Through Monday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A series of weak disturbances will lift over a very warm and moist airmass settled over the region from tonight through the Holiday Weekend. Rainfall with these waves is expected to be heavy at times and with little storm motion and or backbuilding, flash flooding concerns will be present from now through the start of the work week. Kincaid Lake Campground is located within the Kincaid Lake Recreation Complex on the Evangeline Unit of Kisatchie National Forest in central Louisiana. The campground surrounds a 2,600-acre reservoir that provides excellent opportunities for fishing, boating, water skiing, and swimming. With 40 campsites divided between Loop A (13 sites) and Loop B (27 sites), the facility offers modern amenities including electric hookups, flush toilets, hot showers, and a playground. Three fishing piers are conveniently located within the campground for anglers. The day-use swim beach operates seasonally from Mother's Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, with hours from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. A group pavilion is available for rental year-round. Beyond water recreation, visitors can explore hiking and biking trails, go canoeing or kayaking, and enjoy wildlife viewing and hunting in the surrounding national forest. The campground features paved roads and trash disposal services. A 24-hour camphost is on site. Reservations can be made through Recreation.gov up to 6 months in advance, though walk-up reservations are also available via the Recreation.gov mobile app.

Directions

From Alexandria, drive west on Louisiana Highway 28 for 12 miles to Louisiana Highway 121 at Gardner. Turn left (south) and go 0.25 mile to Forest Road 279 (Valentine Road). Turn left (east) on Highway 279 and go 3.5 miles to Forest Road 205, where you will turn left (north) and proceed to the recreation area entrance and fee station.
