About
John Martin Reservoir State Park is a popular destination in southeastern Colorado featuring 213 campsites across two distinct campgrounds. Lake Hasty Campground, situated below the dam, offers 109 sites with electric hookups, making it ideal for RVs and trailers. Point Campground on the north shore provides 104 basic sites perfect for tent camping. Both campgrounds are open year-round, with partial winter operations. The park surrounds a large reservoir offering uncrowded boating, waterskiing, jet skiing, sailing, windsurfing, and swimming. Anglers pursue walleye, saugeye, and bass. Away from the water, visitors can hike and bike through prairie grasslands and cottonwood groves, view abundant wildlife, or explore six geocache locations throughout the park. Amenities include a camper services building with flush restrooms, coin-operated showers, and laundry facilities open April 1 to October 31. Year-round facilities include vault toilets, water hydrants, and a dump station. The Lake Hasty area features accessible parking, campsites, restrooms, showers, picnic tables, and drinking fountains. Maximum stay is 14 days within a 28-day period.
