About

Jewell Lake Campground occupies a prime location on the eastern shore of Jewell Lake, a 193-acre lake in Michigan's Huron National Forest within Alcona County. The lake supports a variety of fish species and permits both motorized and non-motorized boating, making it a destination for anglers and paddlers alike. Swimming is also available. The developed campground features vault toilets and potable drinking water available from a hand pump. Sites are $15 per night, with Interagency Senior/Access Pass holders receiving a 50% discount. The campground operates seasonally from early May through the end of October. During winter months, a snowmobile trail passes through the recreation area, extending the site's usefulness beyond the camping season for winter recreation enthusiasts.
