About
Iron Bog Campground sits at roughly 7,000 feet in the Lost River Range of central Idaho's Salmon-Challis National Forest. The campground offers 21 individual campsites plus one group site accommodating up to 25 people. Seven sites are tucked along Iron Bog Creek among willows, while the remaining sites spread across open sagebrush terrain. Four sites feature shade awnings for relief from the high-desert sun. The campground provides two vault toilets, including accessible restrooms, and a hand pump for drinking water during the summer operating season. A hitching rail outside the campground serves equestrians, though horses are not permitted within the campground itself. Nearby destinations include Iron Bog Lake, Brockie Lake, and Fishpole Lake, with the Upper Iron Bog Trail providing access to alpine terrain and Smiley Mountain.
