About

Grand Isle State Park is located on the eastern tip of Grand Isle, which is the only inhabited barrier island off the coast of Louisiana. The park offers 45 premium pull-through campsites suitable for RVs or tent camping. Each site offers water hookups, 30 & 50 amp electrical hookups, a barbeque grill, a picnic table, and a fire ring. A dump station is conveniently located near the entrance to the campground. If you're feeling a little more adventurous, there are also 14 designated beach campsites available. Beach campsites are unimproved (no water or electricity), but do include a picnic table and a fire ring. No vehicles are allowed on the beach, so the beach campsites are for tent camping only. Grand Isle State Park also boasts a mile of beach, a 900-foot fishing pier, a crabbing lagoon, nature trails, and the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see.

Directions

From New Orleans, take US-90 West to LA-1 South. Follow LA-1 through Larose and Golden Meadow, crossing the toll bridge onto Grand Isle. The park is located at the eastern end of the island.
