About

Dorr Skeels Campground is nestled among mature pines at the north end of Bull Lake in Montana's Kootenai National Forest. The 1,162-acre lake is popular with anglers pursuing brook trout, bull trout, kokanee, smallmouth and largemouth bass, pike, whitefish, and perch. The campground features a fully developed boat ramp with dock and a sandy beach with a buoyed swimming area. The campground has 8 overnight sites with tables and fire rings. Five sites are designated tent-only, while 2 sites near the swimming beach accommodate RVs. Site driveways average around 30 feet. Amenities include potable water from a hand pump, vault toilets, and garbage service. There are no hookups, dump station, or showers. The campground lies along the western edge of the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness and is just north of Ross Creek Cedars, an ancient cedar grove worth visiting. Troy is 13 miles north and offers gas, groceries, laundry, and ice.
