About

Daroga State Park is a 90-acre camping destination nestled along 1.5 miles of Columbia River shoreline on the elevated edge of Central Washington's desert scablands. Located off Highway 97 between Wenatchee and Winthrop, this lush green oasis offers dramatic views amidst the dry, rolling hills of the region. The park features 28 partial hookup sites with water and electric service that can accommodate RVs of virtually any size, plus 17 specialized walk-in and boat-in tent sites positioned for more secluded camping experiences. Walk-in campers should be prepared to walk up to half a mile to access their sites. The park provides extensive water recreation opportunities with two boat ramps for launching motorized watercraft, three docks for fishing or launching kayaks and paddleboards, and a calm lagoon ideal for beginner swimmers and paddlers. The Columbia River offers excellent fishing for salmon, steelhead, brown trout, cutthroat, and rainbow trout, while the lagoon provides bank fishing for bass, bluegills, bullheads, and crappie. The park also features 2.5 miles of paved trails connecting the campgrounds, along with amenities including flush restrooms, showers, a dump station, and designated swimming areas. Named after the Auvil brothers (David, Robert, and Grady) who started an orchard at this site in 1928, the park blends natural beauty with convenient facilities for a memorable camping experience.
