Clifty Falls State Park
Open — Open year-round. Full services including camp store and laundry operate May through October. Winter camping available with limited services: one family restroom and water source at the non-electric comfort station. Electric sites underwent upgrades from November 2024 through April 2025 and are now back in service.

A combination of well-above average temperatures, low relative humidity, breezy winds, and worsening drought conditions will result in elevated fire weather conditions for this afternoon. Winds will be out of the southwest this afternoon, gusting up to 20 to 25 mph, and relative humidity values will drop to around 25 to 35 percent across the area. Conditions will improve after sunset as winds slowly decrease and relative humidity values increase.

Clifty Falls State Park campground provides a variety of camping options for visitors looking to explore southern Indiana's scenic landscapes. The campground includes 99 electric sites with 50-amp hookups and 62 non-electric sites, with multiple pull-through options available in both loops. All sites feature gravel parking spurs, picnic tables, and fire rings. Modern amenities include restrooms with hot showers that are ADA accessible in both loops, plus additional pit toilets in the non-electric area. A dump station is conveniently located near the gatehouse. The campground also features a seasonal camp store selling firewood, ice, and camping supplies, along with coin-operated laundry facilities. A playground and amphitheater provide entertainment options for families. The park is renowned for its rugged hiking trails leading to beautiful waterfalls and geological formations. Additional park amenities include a seasonal swimming pool, nature center, and interpretive programs. The campground operates year-round with reservations available up to six months in advance through Indiana State Parks. Winter camping is available with reduced services, including one family restroom and limited water access in the non-electric loop.

From the north: Take US 421 S to SR 62 W, entrance is approximately 4 miles from the intersection. From the south: Take US 421 N to SR 62 W, continue about 4 miles. From the east or west: One mile west of Madison on SR 56 or SR 62.
