About

Clear Creek Campground is nestled in old-growth forest just off the Mountain Loop Highway, approximately 3.5 miles south of Darrington in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The campground features 12 standard nonelectric sites spread beneath a towering canopy of fir trees, providing ample shade and a peaceful atmosphere for tent camping and smaller RVs. Each site includes a picnic table, tent pad, and fire ring. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water on-site, so campers must bring their own supply. The campground sits along the banks of the Sauk River, where visitors can enjoy wildflower displays in July and August featuring paintbrush, tiger lilies, columbine, and lupine. Salmon and steelhead can be observed during summer spawning runs. Nearby recreation includes the one-mile Frog Lake Nature Trail with views of Clear Creek below, and the three-mile Old Sauk Trail along the river. The surrounding Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest offers over 1,500 miles of trails for hiking and exploration.
